Ⅰ Introduction
Liu Junshang, better known as Liu Junshang, is a Chinese mixed martial arts practitioner and former mixed martial arts fighter. He is a former welterweight champion of the Chinese mixed martial arts promotion U.F.C. China and the former Chinese mixed martial arts king, making him one of the most successful MMA fighters from China.
Ⅱ Early Life
Liu Junshang was born in Beijing, China, on November 23, 1987. He began practicing martial arts at an early age and earned his black belt in Wushu by the time he was 17. He went on to study law at Beijing University of Technology and eventually graduated with a double degree in law and engineering.
Ⅲ Career
Liu Junshang started his professional mixed martial arts career in 2008 after signing with the U.F.C. China promotion. He quickly rose to fame and became one of the most successful MMA fighters in the country. He won his first fight against Gao Wei at U.F.C. China’s Weigh-In event in 2010, becoming the first Chinese fighter to ever to win a U.F.C. belt. He then went on to win the Chinese Welterweight Championship at the same event.
Ⅳ Training
Liu Junshang trains in various martial arts styles including Boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Wrestling. He has been trained by some of the greatest fighters in the world, including world champions such as Anderson Silva, Fabricio Werdum, and Rousimar Palhares. He also often trains with his brother and fellow professional fighter, Li Guan.
Ⅴ Achievements
Throughout his career, Liu Junshang has achieved numerous feats and accomplishments. He has been the Chinese MMA Welterweight Champion a record five times and appeared in six consecutive U.F.C. China events, making him one of the longest-tenured fighters in the promotion. He was also the first Asian fighter to be featured on a major international UFC poster, at UFC 155 in Las Vegas in 2012.

When he is not training, Liu Junshang enjoys many outdoor activities such as riding his mountain bike, playing basketball, and swimming. He is also very passionate about his professional career and is constantly trying to improve and evolve his fighting style.
