Step 1 lead in T: Hello, boys and girls, Let’s enjoy a song. (教师用PPT播放英文歌曲:Be What You Wanna Be. ) Now please tell us the words of jobs in the song. Ss: doctor, lawyer, actor, singer, policeman, fire fighter, postman, (学生回答时,教师边出示图片,同时将单词板书在黑板上)T: Do you know other words of jobs? Ss: actress, reporter, worker, writer, teacher, driver...(学生头脑风暴说出尽可能多的有关职业的单词,教师必要时出示相关的图片。)T: Today we’ll learn more new words about jobs. Step 2. Let’s learn new words T: (出示图片) Look at the man! What does he do? S1: He is a computer programmer. (同样用图片导入单词engineer,cook, scientist, pilot, 然后用动作加图片导入pianist, violinist,边板书在黑板上,再带领学生读新单词) T: Now, we have known so many words of jobs. Which do you think is the most interesting job? And which do you think is the least interesting job? Open your books and rank them from the most interesting to the least interesting. 【设计意图】本节课我利用职业歌曲导入,既把学生吸引快速进入英语课堂,又复习导入了部分职业的单词,紧接着让学生头脑风暴,说出更多的可能学过的有关职业的单词,然后又借助图片、教师动作(弹钢琴和拉小提琴动作)学生本节课的新单词,整个过程流畅,以旧带新,衔接自然,这些表职业的单词为后面目标语言的学习做了很好的铺垫。Step 3. Guessing gameT: (出示班上一学生照片,学生感到惊讶—老师哪来的照片?)Look!Who is it? What does he want to be when he grows up? Guess! (学生踊跃举手回答)S2: An engineer? T: No, he doesn’t. S3: A pilot? T: No. ...T: Let’s ask him. What do you want to be when you grow up,Deng Weifeng?D: I want to be a computer programmer. (教师出示图片和文字,刚好和邓伟峰回答一致,学生有点惊呆—难道老师是神仙?)T: How are you going to do that?D: (借助图片引导学生回答)I am going to study computer science.
(紧接着学生都迫不及待地说“next”, 顺着学生的意愿,分别出示一名男生和女生的照片)T: Look! This is Deng Siming. What does he want to be when he grows up? Guess!S4: Maybe he wants to be a doctor.T: No. S5: Does he want to be a driver? T: No, he doesn’t. Look! He wants to be a basketball player. How is he going to do that? Ss: (借助图片引导学生回答)He is going to practice basketball every day. T: Look at the girl! What does she want to be when she grows up? Guess! S6: I think she wants to be a singer. T: Yes, you are so clever. How is she going to do that? S7: She is going to practice singing really hard. 【设计与反思】本环节设计一个猜测游戏,目的是复习巩固表职业的单词,同时有不知不觉引出本节课将要学习的目标语言,因为在前面一节课要学生做了自我介绍,并发了照片,有部分学生在自我介绍中谈到了自己的理想职业,我顺势把这一情景融入新的课堂,前后连贯,非常自然,而且用的是猜测游戏,更好地激发了学生的学习兴趣,学生感觉新颖,通过猜测三个学生,还关注了不同的人称变化。Step 4 Let’s listen T: Now you are going to listen 4 conversations. Listen and find out what they want to be and how are they going to do that. Before listening, you can guess what you can fill first. (听力播放两遍,然后check the answer together)【设计与反思】此处运用了听力策略,听前预测再听,又因为有之前的铺垫,这环节对学生来说so easy. Step 5 Let’s talk T: Now what do you want to be when you grow up? And how are you going to do that? Ask and answer in pairs. I’ ll give you 2 minutes to prepare for it. (教师巡视,提供必要帮助)T: OK! Time is up. I ‘ll ask some pairs to act it out. (叫两组学生展示对话,教师做出点评)T: (又出示两组学生照片,学生变换人称两人一组练习。)Now what does Li Jian/Zhu Zitong want to be want he grows up? How is he/she going to do that? 【设计与反思】利用班上同学真实语境巩固目标语言,更能引起学生学习兴趣,增加了语言交际的真实性, 同时也为下一步听力做了铺垫, 因为Zhu Zitong wants to be a teacher. She is going to learn how to teach. 与2a内容有关。Step 5 Let’s listen T: Look! This is my friend Chen Han. What is he going to do? Listen and Check the correct boxes in the picture.Please pay attention to the key words -jobs. (听一遍后check the answer in 2a)T: Now listen again, What are Cheng Han’s plans for the future? Complete the chart. Before listening, you can first write down “ He is going to ...” in the chart. (听两遍后check the answers in 2b)【设计与反思】此处运用了听力策略,听关键词。2b是要学生填表格,学生要写较多单词。难度较大,因此我要学生听前先补充要写的前半个句子” He is going to ...”, 降低了难度,又让学生更好地理解be going to的含义。Step 6 Let’s interviewT: Now I’d like you to interview at least three classmates about their dream jobs. After that, give a report in front of the class. You can use the following sentences:A: What are you going to be when you grow up?B: I’m going to be……A: How are you going to do that?B: I’m going to……T: Your reporter can be like this: Today I asked three students about their dream jobs in our class. Deng Siyang is a tall boy. He is going to be a basketball player. He is going to play basketball every day. Yang Yiqu is a beautiful girl. She is going to be an actress. And she is going to take acting lessons. Li Jian is a clever boy. He is going to be an engineer. He is going to study math really hard. I want to be a ... I am going to ...
