I was in 10th grade, walking through the hall in high school, and this well-known bully in my grade targeted me. He was kind of an Eminem-looking guy. 5'10" and really thin. He stepped in front of me and I ran into him, and he shoulder-checked me.

I kind of stumbled away, but I quick turned to face him, and he puffed up his chest.

“What the fuck are you gonna do?” he said.

“I'm not trying to start anything.” I said.

He laughed.

At this point there was a bit of a clearing and the people in the near vicinity took notice. I was getting scared because this guy had been to juvi numerous times and was known for starting fights for no reason at all.

“Check out this fucking fag.” he said.

And right then, around the corner behind the bully came this 350 pound, 6'4" senior who was friends with my older brother and played on the football team, and he wound up and slapped the bully on the back of the head. Slapped him so hard that the kid freaked out, turned around, then saw the size of the guy and backed down.

“Watch yourself, bitch.” the guy said.

“What are you gonna do? Huh?” the bully said, trying to save face.

The big guy said loud enough so that his voice echoed throughout the hall, “Better mind your business or I'll rip your dick off and make you eat it.” and he took a step forward.

“Fuck you, bitch.” the bully said, but backed up to his locker. They stared at each other for a few seconds and the taller guy walked away, and kind of escorted me down the hall.

“What a prick.” he said to me.

“Thanks.”

“No problem. It was fun.”

I was so happy I could have cried.
